Abstract
LoRa, as a low-power wide area communication technology, has been applied in the field of substation. This paper briefly introduces the characteristics of LoRa technology, analyzes the current situation and existing problems of LoRa technology in communication rate, communication distance, network architecture and information security, demonstrates its application scenario combined with the characteristics of substation communication network, and finally prospects the application of LoRa technology in substations.
