Abstract
A structured model of smart energy meter is firstly established in this paper, and the main factor that leads to smart energy meter errors is analyzed, that is the gradual change of reference voltage of AD converter with temperature. Then, the mathematical models of CMOS bandgap reference and AD converter affected by temperature are given. And by using the correlation analysis, the influence and relationship between the reference voltage of smart energy meter and temperature is investigated.  The relationship curve between the error change of smart energy meter and the temperature change with time is given through experiments. Finally, according to the accuracy level of the tested smart energy meter, the suggestions on reference temperature conditions of smart energy meters is proposed.
