Abstract
The existing hybrid modular multilevel fast equivalent modeling based on Thevenin does not consider insufficient capacitor voltage, resulting in incorrect simulation results of electromagnetic transient simulation when the capacitor voltage is insufficient. Therefore, a hybrid modular multilevel fast equivalent modeling is proposed in this paper. Specifically, the transformer is T-shaped equivalent, the components of each sub module are discretized by trapezoidal integral method. The single port Thevenin equivalent of half bridge sub module and the double port Thevenin equivalent of hybrid sub module are obtained by Stepwise calculation of Thevenin equivalent of local circuit. Then the equivalent model of hybrid modular multilevel converter is established. The validity and accuracy of the model are verified in MATLAB Simulink.
