Abstract
Particle trap is the main means to suppress the movement of metal particles in DC Gil. Firstly, the influence of trap on the electric field distribution of coaxial cylinder structure was analyzed, and the dynamic model of particle movement was established. Meanwhile, the influence of trap parameters on the bottom and front electric field distribution was studied. The results show that the electric field strength at the bottom of the trap decreases with the decrease of the slot width and the increase of the thickness and the number of slots. When the thickness is greater than 10 mm and the number of slots is greater than 15, the electric field tends to be saturated gradually. When the height and the slot distance of the trap change, the electric field value has a minimum. The increase of trap thickness will increase the axial electric field and electric field gradient in front of the trap, which is conducive to the capture of particles. Based on the above research, the parameters of particle trap were optimized, and the feasibility of the optimization scheme was verified by experiments.
