Abstract
In China, the lightning damage seriously affects the safety of power supply in 10 kV distribution networks. The calculation of lightning stroke flashover rate is an important part of the lightning protection of distribution networks. Currently, simulation software and differential numerical calculation methods are mainly used in the field of simulation calculation research. However, the complexity of the simulation model building process and the low efficiency of the calculation do not meet the needs of designers and operators of power grid. In this paper, a simple calculation method for lightning stroke flashover rate of 10 kV distribution overhead lines is proposed by analysing the main influencing factors and influence laws. The direct and indirect lightning stroke flashover rate of 10 kV distribution overhead lines can be obtained quickly, avoiding complex physical simulation modeling and numerical calculation processes, and greatly improving work efficiency.
