Abstract
The hybrid photovoltaic-thermal (PV/T) system has been focused with the development of net zero energy technology, due to the advantage of being able to convert solar energy into electric energy and heat energy at the same time, so as to achieve full energy absorption. A new whole-process energy efficiency calculation (WPEEC) algorithm is proposed based on the utilization of new energy in terms of PV/T renewable energy utilization. In this article, the electric energy and thermal energy are analyzed, combined with the system structure and PV/T principle structure diagram. Moreover, the energy efficiency of the microgrid, photoelectric conversion, and photothermal conversion of the heat pump system are calculated respectively, so as to obtain the total solar energy efficiency. Finally, an office building in Beijing is selected as a case study. The WPEEC algorithm is used to simulate and calculate the influence of PV/T laying area, power supply and storage ratio, and heating storage tank capacity on the energy efficiency of solar energy utilization in the whole process.
