Abstract
To improve the overall efficiency of the pure electric vehicle motor drive system under different operating conditions, we studied a new induction motor combined with inverters to change the magnetic poles and phase. The pole changing speed regulation method of induction motor is employed to obtain the input-output power and efficiency characteristics of the motor in the speed range of 0-1500 rpm and torque range of 0-100 Nm based on ANSYS finite element simulation analysis.  From the simulation results, we draw the efficiency map of two-pole mode, four-pole mode and mixed mode to compare the overall efficiency of the motor in different working conditions. The results of our analysis verify the possibility of improving the efficiency of induction motor by pole changing, which is of guiding significance for the optimization and upgrading of motor system and energy saving. To improve the overall efficiency of the pure electric vehicle motor drive system under different operating conditions, we studied a new induction motor combined with inverters to change the magnetic poles and phase.
