Abstract
With the high penetration of renewable new energy in the power system, the unbalanced distribution of new energy incurs difficulty to the frequency control in the interconnected two-area power system. To solve this problem, this paper firstly proposes a method to predict three time-domain frequency response parameters after power disturbance for the two-area interconnected power system. Then, considering the different regulation depths of electric vehicle aggregator (EVA) in different areas and the obtained frequency response parameters, the frequency control factor is predicted for the EVA to participate in the system frequency control. Finally, according to the obtained frequency control factor, a coordinated control strategy (CCS) is proposed for the EVA to participate in the primary frequency regulation (PFR) in the interconnected two-area power system. Study results show that the effectiveness of the predicting method for system frequency response parameters is verified. The proposed CCS effectively reduces the impact of new energy fluctuations, and improves frequency stability by making full use of the regulation capacity of EVA in each area.
