Abstract
The propulsion force of electrodynamic suspension train is provided by air-cored superconducting linear synchronous motor (AC-SLSM). In this paper, the excitation magnetic field of the AC-SLSM is analyzed in detail. Firstly, the basic configuration of the motor is described. Secondly, the excitation magnetic field of AC-SLSM is analyzed in detail by Biot–Savart law. Finally, the effects of superconducting magnetomotive force, armature current and air gap length on propulsion force of AC-SLSM are analyzed by finite element software.
