Abstract
The UHV shunt reactor is one of the main sound sources in the substation, and it can be a great significance to optimize the internal structure for reducing the noise of the reactor. According to the characteristics of the core of the UHV shunt reactor composed of gaps and discus alternately stacked, a simulation model is established based on the method of multi-physics coupling. The Maxwell force is the essential reason for the vibration between the core cakes and the dominant effect of the core vibration, then the influences of the thickness of the reactor core and gap on the Maxwell force between the discus and the vibration characteristics are calculated and analyzed. In addition, the experiments have been carried out, and the vibration characteristics of the iron core were measured and analyzed, and the variation of the iron core vibration with the voltage was also obtained.
