During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, Hubei Power Grid will inevitably face the changes and challenges that are brought by power system transformation. This paper introduces basic situation of Hubei Power Grid during the 13th Five-Year Plan period, such as social economy, power grid structure, installed power capacity, total electricity consumption and load, electricity demand, power grid equipment and line loss rate, analyzes critical influencing factors during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, and puts forward the trend of line loss rate of Hubei Power Grid during the 14th Five-Year Plan.
