Abstract
The hybrid transformer is used to improve the metro traction power supply system, which can reduce the volume and cost of the overall equipment. In this paper, the circuit models of a hybrid transformer and a rectifier transformer are established by the two methods, namely, the single-phase multi-winding transformer method and the mutual inductance transformer method. First, the finite element models of the hybrid transformer and rectifier transformer are established to calculate some parameters which are used in two methods. Then, the circuit models are established and investigated using the proposed two methods. The results obtained by the mutual inductance transformer method are compared with the finite element results. Finally, the presented two methods are used to establish the DC traction power supply system, and the pros and cons of these two methods are compared.
