Silica fume content effects the mechanical properties of the hybrid fibre reinforced concrete. To reveal the law, the experiment sets four levels of silica fume content (0, 5%, 7.5%, and 10%) to effect the compressive strength, flexural strength, and impact energy consumption of hybrid fibre reinforced concrete. The hybrid fibres are 0.9kg/m3 cellulose fibre(CF) and 0.9kg/m3 polyethene fibre(PeF). The experiment had five groups of concrete including plain concrete group(Group A), fibre reinforced concrete group(Group B), 5% silica fume group(Group C), 7.5% silica fume group(Group D), 10% silica fume group(Group E). The result shows that the compressive strength, flexural strength, and impact energy consumption(crack and failure) of Group A are 43.6MPa, 4.0MPa, 2158.2KJ, and 8044.2KJ. The mechanical properties of group B are 50.0MPa, 5.4MPa, 5562.4KJ, and 8232.6KJ. The mechanical properties of group C are 53.5MPa, 5.0MPa, 5248.4KJ, and 9417.6KJ. The mechanical properties of group D are 50.3MPa, 4.8MPa, 6621.8KJ, and 7455.6KJ. The mechanical properties of group E are 48.5MPa, 4.1MPa, 3482.6KJ, and 3678.8KJ. On the whole, the impact energy consumption of failure and the compressive strength reach the maximum, when the content of silica fume added in the fibre reinforced concrete is 5%. The impact energy consumption of crack reach the maximum, when the content of silica fume added in the fibre reinforced concrete is 7.5%.
