Five reinforced concrete (RC) one-way slabs strengthened by carbon fabric reinforced cementitious matrix (FRCM) system were tested under flexure. FRCM system consisted of 3, 4, 6-layers carbon fabrics or and hybridized 1-layer carbon fabric plus 6-layers of alkali resistant (AR) glass fabrics. Green high-strength mortar using Portland Type I cement (OPC), silica fume (SF), waste glass powder (WGP), and natural sand was utilized with 2% polypropylene (PP) fibers. Flexural strength was increased up to 30%, but ductility was decreased due to sudden debonding failure between the FRCM system and the one-way RC slab following tensile rupture of the FRCM system. Development of bond stress was analyzed to investigate the bond behavior between the FRCM system and the concrete substrate.
