Abstract
Steel slag, as a kind of industrial waste slag, has good road performance and can be used to prepare asphalt mixture instead of stone. Therefore, the study of adhesion between asphalt and aggregate interface is of great significance for the design and selection of steel slag asphalt mixture. Based on the theory of surface free energy, the work of adhesion was calculated on the asphalt and steel slag in the dry and wet state, the steel slag - asphalt system adhesion ability was evaluated quantitatively, with the aid of electronic scan microscope the microstructure and the surface microscopic characteristics of diabase and the steel slag was analyzed in detail, microscopic analysis showed that a lot of cross section and distribution of the surface uplift, fuzzy more pore is the key of the steel slag wrapped with more asphalt.
