With the development of intelligent transportation in China, improving the safety and efficiency of winter road operation through the realization of intelligent ice condensation warning on the pavement has become the focus of current traffic engineering. This paper considers the impact of winter snow and ice disasters and road ice condensation on traffic operation, proposes the construction of an intelligent road ice early warning system, designs the overall implementation plan, requirements and architecture of the system. Taking the winter Olympics transportation roads as an example, an intelligent road ice early warning system was developed through vb.net and SQL Server databases. The results show that the intelligent road ice early warning system can timely warn and classify the road ice condensation status, ensure the safe operation of the road, and have application value for improving road safety and operating efficiency.
