Abstract
YAN Huawei, GUO Lili (China Railway Eryuan Engineering Group Co., Ltd., Chengdu 610031, China) Abstract: The operation of the rail-water intermodal transport is a multi-modal transport mode that is widely recognized and applied in the world today. It has many advantages such as high volume, high efficiency, low energy consumption and comprehensiveness. However, in China, the development and application of rail-water intermodal transport is still relatively lagging behind. Therefore, improving the port collection and distribution system, and increasing the proportion of transportation of rail-water intermodal transport are important measures to promote the supply-side structural reform of the railway and promote the integration of transportation and logistics. As the core city of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao metropolitan area, Guangzhou's development of rail-water intermodal transport has become a key factor in determining Guangzhou's status as an international shipping center and an international integrated transportation hub. Based on the factors of Guangzhou's regional economy, traffic status, strategic planning and situation requirements, this study analyzes the current situation and existing problems of rail-water intermodal transport in Huangpu Port area of Guangzhou through literature review and case analysis. And based on transport demand forecasting, planning principles, development orientation and planning objectives, it proposed a series of planning programs in station-yard planning and operation planning of Huangpu Port. Finally, effective proposals were made for the orderly development of the combined transport of rail-water intermodal transport in Huangpu Port area. Key words: Rail-water intermodal transport; logistics; Harbour district; Station-yard planning;
