In the process of stepping up the investment and financing system in China, the urban infrastructure construction field constantly absorbs funds from all walks of life. Fare maker uses appropriate urban rail transit pricing methods to ensure the overall interests of the society, enhances the operational efficiency of the track operators, and further promotes the enthusiasm of investors to invest and reduce the financial burden of the government, which is of great significance in urban planning. At the same time, the formulation of rail transit fares is not only closely related to the further development of urban rail transit in the city but also directly affects the interests of urban residents, governments, rail transit operators and their investors. This article first introduced the selected topic background, significance and current situation of the development of rail transit at home and abroad then expounds the principles of urban rail transit fare, strategies, and analysis of simple fare types, and analysis the concrete factors influencing the urban rail transit ticket prices, and introduces the related theory of freight and price making model, finally introduces the urban rail transit ticket pricing practice in China. It provides a clear theoretical basis for urban rail transit fare makers and helps them to make future urban rail fares more effectively.
