Abstract
The interaction between land use and public transit supply and demand is complex and inseparable, which is one of the noteworthy issues about urban public transit sustainable development. To understand the laws of interaction between urban land use and public transit networks, it is very necessary to explore the coupling relationship between land use and public transit supply and demand. Taking the downtown of Tsingtao as an example, the coupling model of spatial geography about layout of public transit stations and public transit demand is constructed to evaluate the coupling. According to the hotspot distribution of public transit demand and land use, this paper then divides the downtown into 22 different zones to define the classification of coupling coordination between land use and public transit supply and demand. The results show that this method can effectively categorize the coordination of each zone and provide a reference for the public transit management department.
