County economy is the root of national economic operation, and transportation is an important support to promote the high-quality development of county economy. Regional airports are usually located in small and medium-sized cities such as counties and are an important part of county transportation, and their construction is an important way to solve the problem of low access to county economic infrastructure. Therefore, how to realize the coordinated and adaptive development of regional airports and county economies has become an important topic in the current economic industry. By constructing a comprehensive evaluation index system for the adaptability of regional airports and county economic development, the article adopts the principal component analysis method to study the adaptability of 11 regional airports and their districts and counties in Sichuan Province in 2019. And the results of the adaptability level presenting different characteristics in different regions are analyzed.
