Abstract
In order to determine the rationality of the site selection for the new public parking garage, this paper applies the traffic impact analysis (TIA) to the site selection decision analysis. First, based on the application programming interface (API) provided by the Gaode Map, the average speed of the road segment is obtained using Python, which relieves the pressure of manual investigation. Then, the types of point of interest (POI) are reclassified, and the POI acquired by Python is visualized to guide the division of traffic zones. Finally, the analysis result of the public parking garage in Changchun is obtained using TransCAD. The result shows that the completion of the project will not have a serious negative impact on the surrounding road network, so the site selection is reasonable. The application of TIA enriches the site selection decision methods, and the case study shows the feasibility of the TIA.
