Abstract
By using the cellular automata and combining with the characteristics of Internet of Vehicles, the running rules of the traditional NS model are improved, and the single-lane cellular automata model is established. To increase the accuracy, this paper proposed a subdivided cellular automata model, so that the impact of randomized moderation probability on traffic flow is studied. Then a two-lane lane changing model is established to study the probability of lane changing. Through the computer simulation, the time- space diagrams, the flow-density basic diagrams and velocity-density basic diagrams under different densities are generated. The results show that Internet of Vehicles improves vehicles’ speed and traffic flow under the same density condition, compared with traditional environment. The probability of random slowness has a significant effect when the road density is between 0.1 and 0.7. What’s more, the connected vehicles have a higher probability to change lane when the road density is large. So transparency of vehicle information can alleviate traffic congestion and improve road capacity.
