Abstract
Bicycle as an important part in non-motorized traffic, plays a role key in green transportation and sustainable development. Aiming at bicycling, a model for urban street bikeability evaluation system based on relevant planning and research is proposed. First, an evaluation of bikeability is constructed from three levels of safety, comfort and convenience, the specific meaning and calculation method of each index in the evaluation system are given; AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) and EWM (Entropy Weight Method) is used to solve the weight of each index. Then the standards for classification of urban street bikeability is put forward. At last, taking Beijing as target area, the urban street bikeability is evaluated, analyzed and visualized by applying ArcGis. This research offers a direction to optimize street bikeability, and the results can also apply in route planning to improve non-motorized traffic experience.
