Abstract
In order to evaluate impact of traffic flow after the common main stem road accidents and take corresponding measures to slow traffic congestion, this paper evaluates and analyzes the impact of traffic flow after the common main stem road accidents. The proportion of occupied roads, the duration, traffic saturation and traffic composition are selected to construct an indicator system which is divided into accident attributes and traffic attributes. Basing on matter-element model, a post-accident operation impact assessment model is established. The degree of operational impact of different accident characteristics is determined under different original traffic flow conditions. The rationality of the index system, model and parameters calibration is verified by a practical case of the common main stem road in Fujian Province. This paper provides practical reference for the management of the common main stem road and the selection of corresponding traffic emergency measures after accidents.
