Abstract
In order to analyze the significant differences in the duration of expressway traffic accidents under different influencing factors, a method for analyzing the influence factors for duration of expressway traffic incidents based on survival analysis is proposed. Based on the traffic incident data of Shaanxi expressway, Kaplan-Meier combined with Tarone-Ware was used to test the significance degree of different factors on the duration of traffic incidents, and strong correlation factors were extracted. Then COX proportional hazards model (test level α = 0.1) was used to study the impact of different factors on the life cycle. The results show that time, daylight, accident causes and vehicle types are the main factors affecting expressway traffic incidents, among which daylight and accident causes have the most significant impact on expressway traffic accidents.
