Abstract
In order to study the perception mechanism of cyclists to the cycling environment quality, this paper builds a CPCEQ model (Cyclists Perception of Cycling Environment Quality model) based on cyclists’ physiological and psychological characteristics. In this paper, both physiological and psychological index are proposed and the index system is built; then, the CPCEQ model and the structural model are presented based on the PLS (Partial Least Square) path model, developed to measure parameters and weight coefficients of the CECPQ model; also the riding experiment was conducted in order to verify the validity of this model; finally, the influence of index system on cyclists’ perception of cycling environmental quality are evaluated based on the iteration weights in PLS model. The result of the CPCEQ model shows that all indexes proposed influent the cycling quality perception to a different extent, and it is feasible in bicycle planning and evaluation.
