Highway lane changing greatly affects traffic safety, analyzing the characteristics of vehicle lane changing behavior is necessary. Through vehicle kinematics and physics theory, analyzes the safety and feasibility of the whole process of vehicle lane changing behavior on Expressway, discusses the influence of different factors on lane changing behavior, and obtains the mechanism of various factors affecting lane changing safety. Collecting the detailed information of traffic accidents and use linear regression analysis method to get the influencing factors. Through quantifying the uncertain factors, a safety distance model is built, and the simulation environment is constructed. The safety distance of scratch collision and rear collision between the main vehicle and the front or rear vehicles is simulated. Finally, the safe lane changing distance of the main vehicle under the influence of various factors is obtained.
