Abstract
In order to reduce the traffic conflict and improve the traffic efficiency, this paper took Xinyi Road exit of Hetan elevated expressway in Urumqi as an example, established VISSIM simulation model, and combined simulation conflict analysis software (SSAM) to propose an optimization scheme of traffic signal timing for auxiliary road, which can improve traffic safety and traffic efficiency. In this paper, DEA / AHP two-stage model is used to quantitatively calculate the simulation results before and after the optimization of traffic signal timing of auxiliary road from three aspects: the number of vehicles arriving, the average delay time between road network and vehicles and the number of vehicle conflicts within the section. The research results show that the auxiliary signal control method proposed in this paper can significantly improve the traffic order and traffic safety in the connection area, and provide reference for the organization, management and control of the connection area between urban elevated expressway and conventional road.
