Dr. Chengcheng Xu is a Professor at the School of Transportation at Southeast University in Nanjing China. He obtained his Ph.D. degree from Southeast University at the School of Transportation in 2014. During his Ph.D. studies, he spent one year as a joint Ph.D. student in the Department of Civil Engineering at Purdue University in 2011. Prior to his Ph.D. studies, he received a B.S. degree and M.S. degree from Southeast University in 2008 and 2010, respectively. His research areas include traffic safety, transportation environmental analysis, intelligent transportation system, and traffic control. He has been the leading PI of more than ten high-level research projects, including the National Science Foundation-funded projects. He has published more than eighty peer-reviewed papers, sixty of which are at the top SCI/SSCI journals, including Transportation Research Part A/C, Accident Analysis and Prevention, IEEE transactions on ITS, etc.
