Kai Huang is currently an Assistant Professor at Southeast University, China. He attained his Ph.D. degree from the Department of Civil Engineering at Monash University, Australia. He continued his research as a Post-doc Research Fellow for over one year at the University of Texas at Austin, USA. His research focuses on the transportation network optimization, mathematical modelling, system simulation, and data analysis. In the related research fields, he has published over 20 high-quality papers, including EJOR, TR Part C, and TR Part E. This piece of work has also earned him several research awards and findings. He was granted the Australian Road Research Board - Monash Transport Research Prize in 2019. He was invited to be the chair or session chair of Transport Research Students and Staff Conference at Melbourne, the Xiangjiang River International Forum at Changsha, and session chair of the International Symposium on Multimodal Transportation at Nanjing.
