The 20th and 21st joint COTA International Conference of Transportation Professionals (CICTP 2020-21)

The cooperative Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) uses Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) system to realize the identity authentication of each participating entity, ensuring the authenticity, integrity and non-tamper ability of the interactive data. According to the research of international relevant resources and the present situation in China, ITS digital certificate format specification and secure message interaction specification have been defined. Based on several pilot projects, a cooperative ITS PKI architecture will be introduced, also including society participants and their functions, workflows of ITS digital certificates distribution and application, interfaces of the security services in vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) and vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I) wireless communications. A secure hardware selections test of security services management entity is also discussed. Keywords: PKI;ITS digital certificate;V2X;Security service.
