Abstract
Concentrating on the CMV performance of the five-phase motor drive system under fault-tolerant operation, this paper defines how the CMV would behave under fault-tolerant mode, analyses the CMV waveforms under different PWM methods, and conduct simulation experiments to verify the theoretical analysis. Four modified CPWM methods are compared, and their CMV suppression effects and current quality of under two fault-tolerant conditions are investigated.
