Abstract
Mixed insulating oil can take into account the advantages and disadvantages of mineral oil and natural ester, and it is an important research direction of new liquid dielectric. In order to study the development characteristics of streamer of mixed insulating oil under lightning impulse, this paper uses Kelamayi 25# mineral insulation oil and three-element mixed insulating oil as a comparison. Use a high-speed camera to shoot the discharge process in the insulating oil and record the discharge image, and based on the Gaussian equation and the current continuity equation, the simulation software COMSOL is used to perform numerical calculations on the established discharge model in insulating oil. The results show that the higher voltage of the streamer simulation model, the easier it is for the branch at the needle tip to develop into the dominant streamer branch, which is similar to the result that the higher voltage in the actual discharge, the more significant the streamer development, and the more dominant branches. And the discharge speed in the mixed insulating oil is lower than that in the mineral insulating oil under the action of the positive lightning wave or the negative lightning wave, and the discharge rate increases with the increase of the applied voltage. This study provides a theoretical basis for the further application of mixed insulating oil in high-power transformers.
