Abstract
The isolating contact mechanism is a critical component of the vacuum on-load tap-changer. Whether arc ablations caused by the bouncing mechanism occur in the switch closing process has a direct impact on the electrical life of the tap-changer. Therefore, a method based on virtual prototyping technologies was proposed to analyze and suppress the bounce of isolating contact mechanism. Firstly, the multi-rigid-body dynamics simulation model of the isolating contact mechanism was established to obtain the contact status during the switch closing process. On this basis, simulation analysis about the contact bounce changes was made under different spring stiffness, limit height, friction coefficient and contact width, and the optimization parameters of the structure were obtained. Finally, a type test was carried out on the optimized isolating contact mechanism, and the effectiveness of the proposed method was verified by observing the bounce time.
