Abstract
Installing Surge protection device (SPD) in buildings is an important means to protect delicate electronic equipment from surge. However, under the impact of surge and environment, metal oxide varistor (MOV) in SPD will deteriorate or even burn and explode due to the accumulation effect, so it is necessary to monitor SPD online. In this paper, an online monitoring scheme of SPD is proposed, which can realize real-time monitoring of SPD state parameters. Based on machine learning algorithm, the collected state parameters are analyzed and calculated to obtain a life model, and then the data is uploaded to the upper computer for visualization by wireless or wired means. The feasibility of the proposed scheme is verified by practical application. It provides an effective scheme for the intelligent application of SPD.
