Abstract
In order to study the flashover characteristics and moisture-proof mechanism of hard superhydrophobic coatings under different humidity and different gap distances, hard superhydrophobic coating were used as test group, RTV coating and uncoated as control group. These coatings were applied to epoxy resin plate, and power frequency surface discharge tests were carried out under different humidity and gap distance respectively. The test results show that the surface flashover voltage of hard superhydrophobic coating decreases by 5.1 % under the relative humidity of 80 % ~ 95 %, which is higher than that of the control group by 2 % and 5.3 %; Under the condition of 3cm ~ 9cm gap distance, the surface flashover voltage increased by 117.8 %, which is higher than that of the control group by 22.2 % and 20.9 %. Superhydrophobic coating can effectively improve the insulation performance of epoxy resin materials under high humidity, and ensure the insulation safety of distribution network live working under high humidity.
