Abstract
Agglomerates of nanoparticles can act as insulation defects, reducing the breakdown strength of epoxy nanocomposite material which is epoxy resin added nanoparticles. However, a quantification method of the relation between the breakdown strength of epoxy nanocomposite and the agglomerate size has not been established. This paper describes estimating the relation between AC breakdown strength and agglomerate size of epoxy/TiO2 nanocomposite (NC) by using electron avalanche breakdown model.
