Abstract
The static topological structure of the urban rail transit network (URTN) was established, based on which the passenger flow was defined as the weight to develop the weighted network; Station connection strength and weighed node betweenness were defined to reflect the structural characteristics of dynamic networks; Considering at the spatiotemporal characteristics of the passenger flow and combining the passenger flow demand characteristics, R-passenger valid path subgraph and OD loss ratio S(R) was given to evaluate the vulnerability of URTN. With Xi'an as an example, the characteristics and vulnerabilities of the URTN were analyzed. The analysis has expressed that the passenger demand tolerance threshold R greatly affects the importance order of the station, and network vulnerability decreases with increasing R. It can be seen that the calculation indicators and methods proposed in this paper can better reflect the vulnerability and functional characteristics of URTN.
