Maintenance period is a significant indicator influencing decision-making on highway maintenance. The study of highway maintenance period at present is almost experience-based or focus more on theoretical analysis both in China and abroad, which lacks of high accuracy and practical guidance for making decision on highway maintenance. Based on large volumes of historical data of several typical provinces in five climate regions of China, this research analyses the corrective maintenance period of asphalt pavement and its contributory factors. An entire national distribution spectrum of corrective maintenance period of asphalt pavement is established to provide meaningful guidance for highway maintenance decision-making.
