Abstract
A new kind of closed cavity thin-walled component was developed to reduce the weight of the precast assembly underground station in Changchun Metro Line 2. The mechanical properties and force transmission paths of this component are still a research gap so this study sets up models for the representative straight component and the actual curved component with the finite element method. The distribution of shear stress is analyzed and the shearing sharing ratio of web and flange is obtained. Based on the results, a formula to calculate the shear capacity for this component is proposed and the improving coefficient of the flange to shear strength is about 1.2 for all kinds of components.
