Abstract
When pouring concrete in large stations, the temperature change caused by the hydration heat leads to cracks in the structure and the installation of the induced joint is an effective way to solve this problem. This study presents a 3D numerical simulation of the concrete pouring process in a subway station based on a real project and analyses the effect of temperature stress on internal force and deformation. Based on this, the effect of the induced joint on the station is quantified. The results show that the induced joint can reduce the tensile stress by sacrificing the deformation resistance of the structure. In addition, complementary measures that can control the development of cracks are proposed for similar projects.
