Abstract
In order to reduce the current fluctuation produced by the limitation of output voltage vector in traditional single vector-model predictive current control (SV-MPCC) method or two vector-model predictive current control (TV-MPCC) method for permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM), a fast three-vector model predictive current control (F3V-MPCC) strategy based on current deadbeat is proposed to flexibly adjust the output voltage vector. F3V-MPCC can calculate the global optimal voltage vector in each control period so that the optimal two effective voltage vectors can be found quickly according to the sector where the global optimal voltage vector is located, and the zero vector is introduced to realize the output voltage vector adjustment. The action time of the optimal basic voltage vectors is allocated by dq-axis current changing rate under the optimal basic voltage vectors. The simulation and experiment are carried out by using Simulink and DSP respectively, and the results illustrate that the proposed F3V-MPCC can effectively reduce the current fluctuation to improve the PMSM drive system dynamic and steady-state performance. Also, the proposed method has shorter computation time and stronger feasibility of implementation compared with SV-MPCC and TV-MPCC.
