Abstract
As a new type of pulse power source, pulsed alternator has great potential, but it is prone to generate significant impulsive torque during the discharge process. In this paper, a four-phase two-pole pulsed alternator without compensation structure is taken as the research object. By solving its electromagnetic torque and short-circuit discharge current analytical solutions, a mathematical model of the short-circuit discharge process is established, and basic control methods of short-circuit discharge impulsive torque are proposed. Taking the peak impulsive torque as the objective function, the trigger angle of each phase of thyristor is optimized by genetic algorithms to obtain the optimal torque waveform. Compared with the results obtained by ergodic algorithms, the correctness of genetic algorithms is verified.
