Abstract
In this paper, a novel predictive position control (PPC) method is proposed to evaluate the position, speed and current simultaneously for the surface permanent magnet synchronous motor (SPMSM). A cascade-free structure is used and only one controller is needed to be regulated. The deadbeat method based on the Truncated Taylor Series method is used to calculate the reference voltage. Besides that, the speed and current constraints are analyzed for the position controller, which is essential for the safety control for position system. The experimental results have verified that proposed method has well position responses, and the current and speed can be limited effectively.
