Mining misalignment is one of the major hidden risks of coal mine safe production. Rapid roadway excavation is an important means to ensure the balance of mining and excavation. At the same time, the advanced exploration and drainage of the mining face requires the use of both drilling and geophysical methods to verify each other, and to find out the water-richness of the mining face and the surrounding goaf water, aquifer and geological structure. However, the effective distance of mine geophysical advance detection is short, and the detection accuracy is seriously affected by the complex underground environment,which leads to the contradiction of exploration and excavation in coal mine and the separation of the drilling and geophysical exploration. To solve the above problems, by making full use of the advantages of advanced drilling and directional drilling technology in heading face, the technology and equipment of the comprehensive geophysical exploration in directional long borehole for the rapid excavation working face was proposed. It includes three innovative technologies: the radial long-distance detection technology of electromagnetic method in borehole for advanced detection of directional long borehole for the rapid excavation working face was proposed; a set of cableless integrated multi-parameter multi-component high-precision geophysical exploration equipment for directional long boreholes in coal mines had been developed; the key technologies of intelligent stereo imaging and comprehensive interpretation of geophysical data in directional long boreholes based on AI algorithm was developed. The engineering practice of a coal mine proves that the proposed method and technology can provide a technical support for the advance detection and fine interpretation of hidden water hazards in underground heading faces.
