Attosecond electron bunch has wide application prospect in free-electron laser injection, attosecond X/γ-ray generation, and ultrafast physics. Nowadays, there are two notable challenges in the generation of high-quality attosecond electron bunch: how to enhance electron density and how to manipulate the duration of attosecond electron bunches. Using theoretical analysis and three-dimensional (3D) particle-in-cell simulations, we discovered that a relativistic vortex laser pulse interacting with underdense plasma can not only effectively concentrate electron bunches, but also regulate the duration of the attosecond electron bunch by adjusting laser intensity and carrier-envelope phase. It is demonstrated that this method can produce attosecond electron bunch with a density up to 300 times the original target density, peak divergence angle of 0.5 degree, and duration less than 67 attoseconds. Furthermore, in comparison with previous schemes, our scheme is potential for generation of high-repetition-frequency attosecond electron bunches and reduces the requirements for experimental conditions, such as alignment or supporter.
