A two-dimensional axial-symmetric radiation hydrodynamics code for laser-produced plasmas (RHDLPP) has been developed to simulate the evolution and generation of laser-produced plasmas. The framework of this code is shown in Figure 1. The hydrodynamics equations are solved using Euler method or Arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian method to describe dynamic evolution of plasma. The light propagation and energy deposition of laser in plasma are simulated by the hybrid model combining the approximation of geometric optics in strongly underdense plasma regions and the wave theory of light propagation across nonuniform one-dimensional plane-parallel plasma layers. By solving the radiation transport equation using multigroup diffusion approximation, the radiation field distribution and the interaction between radiation and matter in plasma were processed. The conduction of energy in the plasma is given by solving the heat conduction equation. The state parameters such as pressure and internal energy are provided by the QEOS. The QEOS divides thermodynamic quantities into electronic part, ionic part and binding part. The charge-state distribution and energy level population are calculated by the collisional-radiative model with superconfiguration or detailed configuration. The radiation opacity, photon absorption coefficient and photon emission coefficient are calculated by the radiation opacity module, where multigroup approximations are made for radiation opacity. In addition, LPP spectral simulation can be processed through the spectral simulation subroutine, such as the EUV spectral of Sn plasma, which can also calculate the EUV radiation power and conversion efficiency.
