Stability evaluation of coal seam roof based on entropy weight-TOPSIS method

In order to evaluate the stability of coal seam roof accurately and reliably, a TOPSIS evaluation model of coal seam roof stability combined with entropy weight method is constructed. Ten commonly used evaluation indexes are selected to establish the evaluation index system of coal seam roof stability. The entropy weight method is used to objectively weight the indexes of 20 groups of field data in a mine. The weighted evaluation matrix is calculated and scored by TOPSIS method, and the roof stability grade of 20 groups of field data is evaluated. Combined with the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) to further comprehensively weight the evaluation indicators, it is concluded that the most important indicators affecting the stability of the coal seam roof are the roof lithology combination and the roof combination strength. The results show that the evaluation results of entropy weight-TOPSIS model are better than those of TOPSIS and AHP models. The entropy weight method improves the evaluation accuracy of TOPSIS model. The stability of coal seam roof can be evaluated by objective weighting and multi-level analysis, and a more accurate evaluation model can be established.
