Among the three major forest areas in China, the northeast forest area suffered the most from forest fires, mainly because the north in the spring and autumn period of precipitation is less, the windy trees are dry. There are two main causes of forest fires: man-made fire and natural fire. Although natural fires caused by lightning strikes and spontaneous combustion are also one of the causes of forest fires, most forest fires are still caused by human activities. Forest fire prevention work is an important part of China's disaster prevention and mitigation work, is an important content of the national public emergency system construction, is an important guarantee of social stability and people to live and work in peace and contentment, is to accelerate the development of forestry, and the foundation of strengthening ecological construction, It concerns the overall situation of forest resources, ecological security, people's lives and property safety, and reform, development and stability.To do a good job of forest fire prevention and extinguishing work, it is necessary to understand the law of forest fire combustion, establish a strict emergency mechanism and a strong command system, organize a well-trained fire fighting team, and use effective and scientific methods and advanced fire fighting equipment in time, so as to minimize the fire loss. This paper mainly includes statistical analysis data, makes a comprehensive review of the causes of forest fires in China in the past ten years, and expounds the measures to deal with forest fires.
