This paper presents the development and application of a digital twin system for comprehensive and dynamic temperature sensing in current-limiting reactors. The system combines sensor data, environmental parameters, and finite element simulations to calculate real-time temperature distributions within the reactors. Unity 3D is used to visualize these temperature distributions, creating a comprehensive and dynamic temperature cloud map. The developed digital twin system can be an important complement for infrared thermal imaging sensors or other temperature sensors which only measure the temperature at one point. This research showcases the potential of digital twin technology for enhancing the monitoring and maintenance of critical power system components.
